Article III MEMBERSHIP
Clause:
1. Membership is the act of agreeing to be involved in the activities of the
family group through the obedience to our constitutions and by-laws.
Section:
1) This Family shall be open to all individual or group who bare any of
the surnames of THE LANTE DJAN WE.
2) The Family Membership shall be for all paternal native of Lante Djan
We
(i) Any individual of Maternal native who bear the name of
Lante Djan We shall join.
3) It shall also be for the sick and the strong in the Lante Djan We clan.
4) A member shall be considered in good standing with the Family as
long as he/she fulfills the following criteria:
i. Fill a membership form
ii. Pays membership dues and welfare by the deadline
stated,
iii. Attend meetings regularly and participate in the
family’s planned programmes and activities.
5) A member shall clearly outline his/her expectations in dues payment,
general conduct, meeting and program attendance, service, etc.
6) A Member who remain in good standing are entitled to the following
benefits to:
i. Vote and to be voted for
ii. Free entry to Family-sponsored events,
iii. Eligibility for leadership positions,
iv. Opportunity to attend regional national and International
conferences (if any)
v. Professional development, etc.
Opportunity to attend regional national and International
conferences (if any)
vi. Giving a befitting burial by donation.
vii. Business start-up capital.
viii. 50% medical bill support.
7) Failure to meet any of the requirements listed in Section (4) may
result in loss of any or all benefits listed in Section (6).
8) The Family shall not entertain any national political issues: (The
chairman shall ask anybody who made any political statement to
retract it and issue a disclaimer that we the family disassociate
ourselves with it.)
i. The Family shall not discriminate on the basis of age, race,
color, religion, gender, national origin, ancestry, disability,
veteran’s status, sexual orientation, or political affiliation.
9) No Member shall involve in any elicit and secret relationship with
fellow member.
10) All backsliding members shall be visited, failure to return he/she shall
be served with a call and if still not coming shall finally be serve with
a letter of withdrawal from the association and this shall be
communicated to the general assembly.
